Lumia Assistant (AI Chat)

In April 2026, we started the rollout of the new AI Chat feature inside Lumia (called Lumia Assistant). Since then we have added more features to the assistant to make it more useful.

As of July 2026, Lumia Assistant is now available to all organisations. The feature can be configured in the standard organisation configuration area.

What can it do now?

Lumia Assistant is an in-app chat that you can query like any LLM (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc).

Lumia Assistant has access to any data you store in the platform. This means:

  • any guidance (e.g. purpose, vision, values)
  • strategic information (e.g. goals, objectives, anchors)
  • cultural data (e.g. career valuation, peer catchups, cultural leadership framework)
  • operational data (e.g. teams, actions)

The data that Lumia Assistant has available to it is limited by the current user's permissions.

For example, someone with Participant-level access could ask about cultural trends over the last six months. However, Lumia Assistant can only return information that the user has permission to access. In some cases, the Assistant may attempt to infer missing information, which can reduce accuracy. A user with full access to cultural data would receive a more accurate response.

Pre-set prompts

We are starting to roll out some pre-set prompts. This will become a library of carefully crafted prompts designed to give you good answers to common, but complex, questions. This will be useful for questions such as “What are the cultural trends over the last six months?” - a question that sounds like it would be easy for the assistant to answer, but there are many variables that affect how the data is interpreted and returned.

Preset prompts are available to users who have the required permissions (e.g. Cultural leaders can access the cultural prompts). Each of the prompts is very detailed and will take some time to run.

Additional contextual information

Our support site (support.theadaptway.com) can also be accessed by the assistant. This gives it access much more contextual information relevant to Lumia (such as our methodology, concepts, how the platform works and how to do things in the platform.

File upload

It also has the ability to analyse files that you upload, such as images (PNG, JPG, SVG, etc) or text files (CSV, TXT, etc). This is helpful when data resides outside of Lumia, but is relevant for your conversation.

Conversation history

Conversations you previously have had can now be accessed, and continued. This will allow you to have multiple chats on different topics without forcing you to either have a very long chat session or repeatedly asking the same questions.

What is under development?

These features are currently under development, and should be coming soon to the platform:

  • Expanded the set of pre-set prompts - we've released an initial set of prompts, but we have a list of upcoming prompts that we're working on and we will release regularly as time progresses

What is being considered?

These are the features that we're considering, but haven't decided if we will implement. If they do sound useful then please let us know as that helps us prioritise. If you have other ideas, then also please let us know!

  • MCP server - so you can directly connect your adapt data to your favourite LLM (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini, etc)
  • Meeting summarisation - A voice-to-text feature that records the meeting and provides a transcript of it. That transcript could then be queried through Lumia Assistant.

Technical Details

The underlying model currently being used is ChatGPT 5.4.

Like most paid LLM subscriptions, the model is not being trained on your data and questions and answers aren't remembered outside of the chat.
